Τhe impact of ICT training on teachers’ self-efficacy

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of training on teacher effectiveness by analyzing it in conjunction with the enhancement of self-efficacy, motivation and employee satisfaction. The survey involved 50 teachers of all levels and the findings showed that the majority of them had a positive attitude towards training. The participants stated that the training helped them to become more successful teachers, more confident in the use of technology in the classroom, more attentive to the demands of their students, more competent and more satisfied with the work they did. A significant obstacle, on the other hand, was the apparent lack of time. No differences were found between genders, as shown by the T-test, and the Cronbach’s alpha test shows that the questionnaire is reliable enough to be used. Last but not least, it is widely known that for teachers to succeed, they must be trained and that they must also have support from the school unit and school leadership.
