{"id":596,"date":"2017-06-01T08:25:47","date_gmt":"2017-06-01T08:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/educircle.gr\/wp\/index.php\/2017\/06\/01\/english-language-teaching-through-the-international-research-european-survey-on-language-competences-eslc\/"},"modified":"2017-06-01T08:25:47","modified_gmt":"2017-06-01T08:25:47","slug":"english-language-teaching-through-the-international-research-european-survey-on-language-competences-eslc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/educircle.gr\/wp\/2017\/06\/01\/english-language-teaching-through-the-international-research-european-survey-on-language-competences-eslc\/","title":{"rendered":"English language teaching through the international research-European Survey on Language Competences (ESLC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;\">The paper discusses the findings of the European Survey on Language Competences \u2013 ESLC (2011) and concerns the presentation of important indicators of the teaching of modern foreign languages in 16 educational systems &#8211; among which Greece is included \u2013 in the last year of lower secondary education (ISCED2) and the second year of upper secondary education (ISCED3).In the paper there are also presented data fromthe joint Eurydice\/Eurostat publication produced in close cooperation with the European Commission Key Data on Teaching Languages at School in Europe(2012), which contains an analytical description of the teaching of modern foreign languages in 32 european educational systems.
