Abstract
Bullying concerns the school community and the wider society in recent years. A sample of students is used in order to carry out most research. However, the important role of teachers must be recognized. This research is addressed to teachers of primary and secondary education and explores their perceptions of the phenomenon, what are the appropriate practices and what is the suitable equipment to deal with it. The survey results indicated that teachers are aware of the necessity to intervene and they are willing to face and prevent bullying. In their effort, they need support, training and assistance by specialists and competent operators in this endeavor.
