Abstract
The integration of ICT in the education process is a necessity nowadays and the teacher is a key point in this process. The purpose of this paper is to present the views of primary school teachers in the attempt to integrate ICT in education. The research sample consisted of 33 teachers of primary education in the prefecture of Kastoria. For the implementation of this research the sample survey design was used and a Likert type questionnaire was designed consisting of four modules (7 questions-statements for each section) to collect data. The research findings suggest that teachers express a positive attitude to the benefits of the integration of ICT in education and recognize many and different ways of integration. Yet, they consider as important factors in the difficulty to integrate ICT in education the inadequate infrastructure, the lack of training of the educational staff and the insecurity that teachers feel in the use of ICT. This research aims to contribute to the improvement of teaching practices using ICT.
