Abstract

This paper involves the application of an integrated teaching scenario of the Greek Language and History in 3rd Grade of Elementary School. The aim of the action was the creative use of ICT in the learning process, the promotion of their added value, the creation of new literacy forms and the development of critical ones. The scenario worked complementary to traditional literacy and expanded the activities of the school textbooks beyond its onedimensional and linear character, highlighting the interdisciplinary and cross-science context of the new curricula, strengthening the participation-and-discovery methods and applying team working. The implementation showed that students, despite of their young age, are willing to engage in innovative learning approaches and are capable of achieving significant learning goals as long as the activities and the software selected are suitable for their age and interests.
