Abstract
This article deals with the social skills of children with visual impairment (VI) and their relationships with their typically developing peers.The purpose of this article is to compare the social skills of children with VIwith those of their peers, to explore the challenges that students with VIface, and to propose ways and methods that may improve them to some degree.In order to investigate this issue, a bibliographic review was carried out in scientific databases and interesting research from valid scientific journals was identified.The review showed that students with VI have poorer social skills and face more difficulties in communication and social interaction.It also emphasizes the importance of early intervention and the need to foster social skills in this student population with appropriate educational programs and with the cooperation of all stakeholders.
