Using Web 2.0 tools to enhance an eTwinning project through distance learning

Abstract

The special circumstances which emanated from the COVID-19 pandemic pinpointed the significance of Web 2.0 tools in distance learning, both in formal and non-formal education. eTwinning has a two-way relationship with distance education since it supports it while it is supported by it at the same time. The present article penetrates the theoretical framework of Web 2.0 tools (YouTube, Google tools, web conferencing tools, eBook, Padlet and social media) which were used for the enhancement of the eTwinning project “Once upon a time…” during the quarantine and there is a subsequent presentation of how they were used and contributed to the accomplishment of the project with the participation of all the partner teachers and their students, eventually acquiring the European Quality Label.
