Abstract
This article was conducted to investigate the issue of the accessibility of people with disabilities and autism as a recognized social group in cultural settings. By extension, it is examined whether state care exists with legislative measures to facilitate the daily routine of this social group. In order to gather the information, which involve problems faced by people with disabilities and autism as well as the suggestions for improvement of measures, research has been carried out on in the prefecture of Thessaloniki, in which took part parents with children with disabilities and autism. The resulting conclusions show some attempts to improve accessibility, but they have not worked efficiently. In addition, it was considered essential to involve people with disabilities and autism in cultural spaces, as their contact with culture contributes to improving their abilities.
