Combining adult education and the use of technology. An approach for adult participation in education programs with the contribution of modern technological and digital means.

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the importance that adults attribute to educational programs and the use of technology in them. In the research conducted in December and January 2024, 102 individuals participated of whom 55 were men (53.9%) and 47 were women (46.1%).
To meet the needs of this research, a structured questionnaire was designed. Correlations were applied to all variables, and the results revealed that the majority of participants (51.5%) have not participated in any educational program, although they believe there should be.
The quality of education they received was positively correlated, while professional development seminars prevailed in terms of the type of educational programs they prefer. Learning digital skills as a second choice indicates the need for their familiarity with digital media and new technologies. A common assumption among participants is the need for variety in the programs offered, a fact that should be taken into account by those responsible for their design and implementation.
