Career development in elementary school. The role of interdisciplinary activities in textbooks of Greek language course through a semiotic approach

Abstract

 

The purpose of this study is to focus on the structure of career development in primary education, through different social and professional roles undertaken by pupils, when they deal with interdisciplinary activities inside textbooks. The research sample is the current textbooks of Greek language course (2016-17). As a methodological tool for the content analysis, is chosen the semiotic model of Algirdas Julien Greimas. The research concluded that the vocational guidance is promoted by suitably shaped interdisciplinary activities, which are scattered in textbooks of all classes.
