Abstract
European educational polity is focused on a traditional democratic discourse in relation with citizenship, social rights, equality of opportunities, and social consent, integrated in a new notional frame which is focused on construction and reproduction of a common European identity and civilization. The role of education is considered crucial in relation with ensuring European cultural homogenization. Bologna procedure is integrated in a common European polity aiming at creating a common frame of reference in universities, the efforts, however, have not rendered the expected results.
