Abstract
This research has been conducted in the field of secondary teachers’ evaluation process that is implemented in Greece and Cyprus during the first 20 years of the 21st century. Except from a references’ review frame upon the existing evaluation system of Greece and Cyprus, our methodology consists of a qualitative research that has been undertaken for secondary teachers of Cyprus. In the vein of necessity for innovative elements that derive from private sector field, which might play a vital part for teachers’ evaluation process, emphasis has been placed on measuring self-efficacy objective mode, in respect of excellence towards quality of education and student-centered classrooms. Conclusions have been reached through data analysis. The importance of this study could be revealed by findings that highlight ways for measuring the performance of teachers in terms of their individual and continuous contribution as per enhancing further their educational part.
