Abstract
History, construed as an approaching form of human experience, memory, oblivion/silence or of human deeds and their outcomes, acquires great importance in the contemporary era within schooling framework, as request of both self-determination and the determination of the “Other”, come to surface in a crucial way. A modern and multimodal approach along with the study of Local Historic Memory seems to contribute to this direction, since it is argued that “human memories and thoughts are considered to be one of the richest sources of information concerning the recent past”. An approach of that kind makes history to be thought not only as the science of the past comprehension and contemporary conscience but as a science of the change and reformation. In this regard, the certain article approaches the teaching method of the course of Local History aiming at fruitful dialogue and further several consideration.
