Development of an informal spelling assessment tool and pilot administration of a 2nd grade elementary school student with spelling difficulties (Case Study)

Abstract

The present work deals with the construction of an informal psychometric tool for assessing orthographic skills. Informal psychometric tools are tests aimed at identifying, identifying, and assessing school-age students’ cognitive deficits in relation to chronological age and curriculum, are informal in nature, enable regular and immediate administration, whichever is the longer moment and lead to the design of appropriate educational intervention.The informal psychometric tool was administered to an 8-year-old elementary school B student who was selected on the recommendation of her general teacher as her writers had significant spelling deficits, despite her overall good performance, which raised questions. -tips and concerns.
