If patterns in greekfolk art were music, what would they sound like?

Abstract

This publication aims in disseminating the experience of transforming patterns in greek folk art into melodies, as a good practice for teaching ostinato in Secondary Education. Αcross-curricular project is presented, which additionally exploit Information and Communication Technologies (I.C.T.).The project was implemented at the Α΄ grade of Junior High School during the school years2018-19 and 2019-20.Firstly, a clarification and analysis of terms is attempted, followed by a presentation of the songwriting software, which can be used in the context of digital literacy. Subsequently, the methodology and the return on experience from the implementation are presented. Finally, the conclusions and suggestions of the work are summarized.
