Abstract
The folk tales, a popular literary genre with a long history and strong symbolism, began as a collective oral creation and spread by word of mouth. Today it continues its course, through their written versions, their use in various contexts (and in education, too) and through their influence in the arts. The present article outlines the exploitation of an original folk-like tale in the digital tour application of the ProsEleusis project, aimingat introducing the city of Eleusis, to adults and children alike. A reference to digital storytelling in cultural places sets the framework of the applied approach for the creation and incorporation of the folk-like tale within the project. The presentation of the evaluation of the tour by adults and children along with its results form an integral part of the article. The digital tour through a folk-like tale aims to establish an alternative and attractive modern tool within museum pedagogy and education.
