Abstract
The authors of the paper aim at exploring the views of the graduate students of the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education of the University of the Aegean in June 2018 as regards their employment/remunerated work during their studies. A questionnaire was distributed to graduate students for the purposes of the research and this formed the basis for arriving at the results described in the paper. The data analysis showed that half of graduate students were working during their studies, occasionally or on a permanent basis, on a part-time or full-time basis, and, moreover, it appears that students’ employment during their studies did not negatively affect the time of completion of their studies. In addition, the kind of work exercised by more than half of graduate students during their studies did not correspond at all to the subject matter of their studies, while they consider that the prospects of employment are not particularly encouraging for the future.
