Professional stress of teachers and school performance of high school senior students

Abstract

This paper presents the methodology and results of a small scale empirical qualitative research on school performance as an occupational stressor for teachers of the Western Attica Secondary Education Directorate, as well as on effective ways of limiting the phenomenon. Also, the relevance of qualitative research as a methodology for conducting this type of survey is documented, while the relevant conclusions are drawn from the processing and analysis of primary data. Finally, some suggestions for further investigation of this phenomenon are outlined.
