Results of a two-year implementation cross-durricularapproach of ICT, Geography and Modern Greek Literature in Junior High School, with the use ICT

Abstract

This assignment presents the evaluation and results of a cross-curricular approach of three distinct subjects, ICT, Geography and Modern Greek Literature. For two school years an informal pilot project was carried out aiming at the implementation of an alternative way of teaching beyond the traditional one, both in the classroom and the IT workshop, which was based on the integration of school knowledge through the cross-curricular organization of school subjects with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The final goal was the acquisition of knowledge and the formation of opinion as defined by the relevant Unified Cross-Curricular Framework of Studies (UCCFS). After the completion of the project, the students with the help of a questionnaire, expressed their opinion on the implementation of this different teaching approach so that they could find out if it had a positive impact on them increasing their interest in the subjects and their active participation in them as well.
