Abstract
The challenges of our century require a modern, efficient school capable of adapting to the ever-changing and uncertain dynamic environment. Consequently, the introduction and successful management of change and innovation, which are intertwined with the pursuit of quality, continuous improvement and development of education, is particularly important for educational organizations and is seen as an essential condition for successful educational administration and effective leadership. The purpose of this work is to present innovative educational programs that contribute to the Europeanization of our schools such as Erasmus +, to document the limitations and obstacles to the introduction of innovations and to highlight the contribution of leadership to the effectiveness of educational change and innovation in school units.
