Abstract
The present study explores the opinions of students at the EPPAIK in Crete concerning the use of synchronous types of education. The first part of the paper presents the definitions, the function, the categories of synchronous – asynchronous e-learning as well as its advantages and disadvantages. The second part describes the methodology of the study and the most important results drawn. Finally, the paper is completed with the conclusions on the opinions of the students of EPPAIK in Crete on the usage of e-learning
