Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to study the extent to which the transformational leadership model in tutoring is applied, as well as its relationship to teacher professional satisfaction. The sample consisted of 150 teachers working in secondary schools in the city of Thessaloniki, while a printed questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The statistical analysis included parametric and non-parametric statistical tests (T-test, One – Way ANOVA, Mann – Whitney, Kruskal – Wallis, Spearmanand Pearson coefficients, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis). The results showed that teachers working in tutoring agree that their management implements (the) transformational leadership model. In fact, there seems to be a difference based on gender, age, and specialty. The above variables also affect the level of professional satisfaction of the respondents. The dimensions of leisure time and financial gains demonstrate some of the key problems in this area.
