Abstract
The education of adult prisoners in the Second Chance Schools (SDE) is a particularly important, sensitive and evolving field in education, so continuous research is necessary for its understanding. In this context, the aim of this thesis is to investigate the views of adult educators who teach in Second Chance Schools of Penitentiary Institutions (SDE SK), regarding their role in strengthening the expectations of trainees on issues of their education, but also on their future course. For the conduct of the research, the qualitative methodological approach was used, with the interview as a data collection tool, in which 10 trainers serving in SDE CR participated. According to the results of the survey, trainers analyze their multifaceted role and focus, mainly, on their motivational role, in contrast to trainees who prioritize the pedagogical role of the trainer. The trainers consider themselves supportive towards the trainees and try with pedagogical means to enhance the confidence of the trainees and meet their expectations.
