Abstract
This study examines entrepreneurial leadership in school administration, drawing on two distinct research fields: educational leadership and entrepreneurship. The rapid economic, political, and social changes of the modern era lead school organizations to think and act with the pedagogical, business, and economic sectors in mind. The study of entrepreneurial leadership within the education framework is considered essential both in the international and Cypriot contexts. This research aims to create a new theoretical model with the characteristics, actions and style of the entrepreneurial-educational leader. Furthermore, through the examination of primary schools, the attitudes and perceptions of the stakeholders involved regarding entrepreneurial leadership were explored and the challenges and benefits of implementing the entrepreneurial leadership style in primary schools were identified according to the views of educational leaders and teachers. A qualitative method design was used to investigate this issue. The main results of this research reveal the characteristics of the new model of the entrepreneurial-educational leader, which are related to financial and business knowledge, school risk-taking, and the willingness and support of leaders regarding school effectiveness.
