Abstract
The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence technologies and human-machine interaction is radically transforming the educational process. At the core of these changes stands the teacher, who must redefine their role—not merely as a knowledge transmitter, but as a facilitator, coordinator, and critical mediator between the student and digital tools. This paper explores the changing pedagogical landscape shaped by human-machine interaction in learning, analyzing how these technologies influence both teaching practice and learning experiences. Through a critical lens and with reference to contemporary Greek and international literature, the article outlines the benefits and challenges posed to educators and identifies the essential skills needed for the effective integration of technology into education. Finally, it suggests directions for teacher training and institutional support to ensure a human-centered and pedagogically sound use of educational technology.
