Digital storytelling: review and suggestions for its use in primary and secondary education

Abstract

 

This article deals with the use of digital storytelling in primary and secondary education. After studying the current bibliography we present storytelling, the digital version of it and the prerequisites of its uses in educational environments. We have used specific software and web 2.0 tools and we suggest techniques and specific tools for different ages of students from kindergarten up to upper secondary schools. This article presents the results of our bibliographical research combined with our experience and its purpose is to give the proper background for the teachers and to encourage them to include it in the students’ activities.
