Job Satisfaction and leadership styles in the school units

Abstract

 

Job satisfaction is an important working behavior. The purpose of this study was twofold. Initially to determine whether there is a relationship between the leadership styles practiced and satisfaction of teachers and secondly, whether the satisfaction of the teachers’ and the organization’s demands affect teachers’ job satisfaction. The results showed a correlation between the applied leadership styles and teachers’ job satisfaction. Meeting teachers’ demands affects job satisfaction while meeting the needs of the organization does not.
