Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the knowledge and perceptions of students of third class graduate schools in the city of Drama about the environment, energy and climate change. The research tool used for data collection was a questionnaire and consisted of questions open and closed type. The sample was 511 students of the third class of all schools in the city of Drama of whom received a total of 453 fully completed questionnaires. The results showed that approximately one third of the students had partial knowledge about the issue of climate change and environmental protection. Moreover, the perception of students on environmental issues is deemed satisfactory, and this is mainly due to the influence of television and Internet. Schools must have environmental education programs in such a way that students to gain more knowledge and sharpen their perception and their positive attitude towards environmental problems. The application of appropriate environmental education programs in schools across the country is essential to students gain insights into climate change and environmental protection and additionally implement.
