Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the design and implementation of a multimedia database for the use of archival material of schools of Primary Education of Kavala in environment Access 2007 and Visual Basic 2010. The data were offered by the schools of Kavala for the Symposium for the celebration of “100 years of free Kavala – 100 years of Education” organized by the Directorate of Primary Education of Kavala on 14 & 15 June 2013. It includes components for the establishing of schools, building, school population, historical data of schools, demographics as well as information about the area where the schools are located. The application developed is user friendly and meets all the requirements of a user-friendly management environment that the user can handle without requiring special computer skills.
