Education of adult prisoners: Difficulties in the educational process.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to record the difficulties faced by the trainers of adult prisoners in the SCS Prisons in the daily educational process, the way they are managed, as well as their supporting factors. The semi-structured interview was used as a research tool. The research sample consisted of thirteen (13) trainers of adult prisoners in the SCS of Domokos and Malandrino Prisons. Thematic content analysis was chosen as the data analysis method. Based on the results, the trainers of adult prisoners have a particularly demanding task, with difficulties arising from both objective and subjective parameters, which they face thanks to the educational approach, but also their attitude and behavior towards the trained prisoners and receiving support both from the school itself and from agencies outside it
