Abstract
Aim of this study is to investigate the opinions of primary school teachers in regional unit Serres about the role of headmaster in introducing and applying innovative ideas. To collect our data we used a questionnaire. The statistical analysis of our data indicated that a headmaster who informs, communicates and cooperates with other teachers could establish innovations in a school. It is also of great significance for the teachers to participate in the decision-making process. This study comes to conclusions about the role of headmaster in innovating and is expected to stimulate into further investigation of this topic.
