Abstract
The aim of the paper is to analyze the content of the curriculum titled ‘For the cultivation, education and care of preschool children’ and investigate the interaction of intensive education ‘discourses’ related to units such as ‘Basic experiences with mathematics’ and ‘Natural sciences & technology-Applications’ and ‘discourses’ of everyday experiences in early childhood education and care. The research design refers to qualitative approaches, where four axes of content analysis are used: a) conceptual content, b) nature of content, c) scientific methods and d) socio-scientific issues. Data analysis shows significant influence of abstract-oriented ‘discourse’ that is emerged through the formation of competitive learning identities in early childhood education and care.
