Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate and capture the views of executives of the Regional Directorate of Education and the Regional Center for Educational Coordination of Central Greece regarding weaknesses that have been identified in the training provided to teachers. The sample of the research consisted of the Regional Director of Education of Cen-tral Greece, the Organizational Coordinator of PEKES Central Greece and the Coordinators of Educational Project PE70 (Teachers). This is a qualitative approach in which for the data collection the semi-structured interview with open-ended questions was used and for their processing the content analysis. The findings of the research showed that the executives expe-rienced a multitude of difficulties due to the absence of a centrally organized training mecha-nism, and due to its lack of readiness and insight.
