Parental Involvement and Distance Learning in the Covid19 era

Abstract

It is widely accepted that in order to maximize students’ potential, the full support of their parents is paramount. Parents play a role not only in their children’s achievements but also in improving school reality in general by actively participating in enhancing their children’s progress through help with homework and school visits in order to be informed, build strong relationships, monitor their children’s progress, discuss with teachers and participate in school events. The present study examines the extent of parental involvement in the distance education program implemented in Greek schools during the Covid19 health crisis, through parents’ views on this process.
