Abstract
Violence in children’s lives is reproduced through their experiences, which. the school can not disappear. It can, however, educate them on how to protect themselves from the violence of others and avoid violence against their classmates. In recent years, the phenomena, tensions and insecurity due to the economic crisis have increased. This article explores the perceptions of school principals about student abuse as well as coping strategies, helping to reduce the phenomenon. Abuse can be physical, emotional, sexual and commercial or other exploitation. Child abuse can occur in many different contexts. Perpetrators of child abuse can be parents or other family members, carers, friends, acquaintances, strangers, people in positions of power.
