Abstract
Educational organizations, and in particular school units, have become complex organizations in recent years, with many problems in their operation, and educational leadership has to be systematically, methodically and scientifically based. Those who are candidates for leadership should therefore be adequately prepared scientifically. The choice of school unit deputies follows the choices of executives in education, which are constantly changing with every change in government policy. Over the past twelve years, four changes have been made with legislative provisions and with different prerequisites and procedures, while the last twenty-three more. From the analysis and study of the different laws, together with the general framework of the competencies of the Deputy Chiefs of Schools, will be noted the will of the State for the “kind” of the persons to be selected.
